I'm fundraising to fight MS!
As many of you already know I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2018. I have taken part in two Oxfam Trailwalker charity hikes pre diagnosis but now in November 2024 I am going to attempt the Tongariro Alpine Crossing in New Zealand. The crossing is a 20.2 kilometre trek up and around a volcanic crater with steaming vents, glacial valleys, old lava flows and crater lakes.
The trek will be a challenge as I do struggle with fatigue as one of my main MS symptoms however with the right training anything is achievable.
As part of this I am raising funds for MS Queensland to show my support and make an impact in the lives of people living with MS like myself and so many others!
All donations above $2AUD are tax deductible and 100% of your donation will go directly to MS Queensland, as I am funding my travel and the trek costs myself.
Did you know:
- On average, more than 10 Australians are diagnosed with MS every week
- The average age of diagnosis is just 30 years of age.
- Three out of four Australians with MS are women
Your support will help fund essential services like physiotherapy, occupational therapy, counselling and symptom management, as well as MS research to look for better treatments and ultimately a cure for the disease.
Please DONATE to help ensure no Queenslander faces MS alone.
This inspires me to move my lazy butt!
