A neuro diagnosis changes everything in an instant
Every diagnosis brings an urgent need for guidance, connection and the right support.
With your help we can connect people with someone like Vicki so they don't have to face it alone.
Help someone navigate their neuro journey
Every day across Queensland, people are navigating life with a neurological condition—often without a map.
Neurological conditions such as dementia, MS, Parkinson’s and stroke can take someone's life off course, stealing memory, mobility and independence.
More than 1.3 million Queenslanders are living with a neurological condition, and just 6% of these people receive vital support.

Meet Vicki
Vicki knows first-hand what it feels like to try and connect to the right care for someone you love.
Her partner of 41 years suffered a catastrophic stroke six years ago. Vicki found herself feeling fearful and overwhelmed.
“We left hospital, but without direction. No answers about how we were supposed to cope. No support. No idea about what life could look for us now. We were lost.”
Vicki vowed that no family should ever face this type of loss alone.

Today, Vicki works as a Community Navigator for MS Queensland, helping families through the fear and uncertainty that comes with the shock of a diagnosis. Vicki helps connects them to a new future that is well-supported with services and information.
Vicki describes her role as the on-ramp to the information highway that can point someone living with a neurological condition to support, services, and a community that cares.
You can help Vicki be that crucial navigator connecting someone with the right supports at the right time.

Music that connects us
Our MS Queensland community has come together to create a special playlist of favourite songs, to highlight the powerful role music plays for people living with neurological conditions.
Music can spark memory, emotion and create a powerful sense of connection.
